I don't even call myself Baptist anymore. But I know it's a part of who I am, and my faith, having grown up the son of Baptist missionaries, gone to Baptist bible college and been a Baptist youth leader.
I guess I'm trying to find Christian community beyond the sicknesses of modern church. I don't want to become comfortable.
What do you love to do?
Discuss environmental, social, and globalocal concerns, theology, philosophy, architecture, history, politics, or art with a coffee or nice micro-brew. Hang out with my wife and baby girl. Eat unusual food. Play unusual music. Fool around with my Mac. Sit under large trees. Climb said large trees.

Edwin A. Abbott - Flatland, C.S. Lewis - That Hideous Strength, Perelandra, The Great Divorce, Shane Claiborne - The Irresistible Revolution, Naomi Klein - No Logo, Geez Magazine, Adbusters (in ages past), Ecclesiastes, Isaiah, The Gospels.
